Standard Bank South Africa (SBSA) commisioned JLB Architects to co-ordinate the optimisation project for the “Short Tower” portion of the “Two Towers” precinct. This exercise lead to an extension of the scope of works to redesign the main entrance lobby for the SBSA tower. The client wanted a comtemporary look to echo the modernisation and upgrade of the facade. Various design studies were completed before implementation. The space was visually enhanced and enlarged by manipulating the horizontal banding of Walnut timber strips and white glass wall panelling.
